I’ve been a Shorinji Kempo practitioner for nearly 6 years now, and has found it one of the most rewarding and fun experiences that I’ve done in my life.   One of the key principles in Shorinji Kempo is half for yourself and half for others.  So I’ve devote some time into help my Shorinji Kempo community.  Here is a short promotional film from our annual Cherry Blossom festival as well as some in class footage at martial arts practice.

The martial art itself contains a combination of punching, kicking, locks and throws.  We also focus on paired practice which allows us to learn how it is to contact bigger/smaller, shorter/taller individuals.  We also teach alot of discipline in the class so it fits well for kids.

The class is headed up by 7th Dan Sensei Yuji Harada, a man which I have the utmost respect as he has taught me much about martial arts, discipline, life and community.
